I have tried repeatedly with emails and phone calls to contact orb 360 to book a group for March ( only a week away now). The phone is never answered and emails not responded to. Whilst I know they do not start until March surely with only 6 days to go until the seasin starts they would be checking to see for people wanting to book in the next couple of months!!?? Will now book elsewhere

I visited Orb 360 as a gift using a Red Letter Day voucher. The actual day and experience in itself was great however thanks to 'Paul' and his extreamely poor customer service skills I would never book an experience with them again and would seriously advise people to book else where. On the day we were offered to buy a DVD of our experience for £12, we accepted and paid up front. After the activity we went to collect our DVD's and were told there DVD writer was broken so they would send it via email. When it was sent I was out of the country and by the time I came back and went to view and download it it had expired. I contacted Orb 360 and asked for it to be re-sent. I emailed, visited and phoned before managing to speak to anyone. Finally once I did I was told the emails would be re-sent. I never recieved the footage again and after chasing for weeks Paul finally answered my call and rudely told me that if I wanted the DVD that I had already paid for that I would have to give him another £5. I refused then contacted Red Letter Day who paid the additinal money on my behalf. I then had to chase Orb 360 up again for Paul to be rude once again and then tell me it wasn't his priority even though he had been paid twice!! Finally after contacting trading standards and threatening to take them to court i finally recieved my DVD after 3 months. The money wasn't the issue for me but the lack of customer service and and complete and utter rudeness of paul the so called director. I agree with the lady that wished them out of business, i hope they loose their contract with Red Letter Day and rapidly cease to attract any customers. An appauling way to run a business.

I organised my stag party with orb360 this year. I was giving great customer service when I rang up to book. The girl offered me discount and arranged a minibus to pick us up and take us there. There were 16 of us all together and all the lads were looking forward to it. We also hired a BBQ that they ha there and just took food along to cook. The orbing site i amazing, the views of Brighton and the South Downs are awesome. This added to our fab afternoon and the heatwave in April made the aqua obing perfect. Staff were great and we had a few beers in the pub next door.

I had been given a red letter days voucher to use and it was at the orb place at devils dyke. We got there no problem and there was parking. We had to go to a window to say we were hereand were greeted by a really friendly girl who statred chatting to us. We were made to feel welcome and at ease. We also got offered head cameras to film the experience. The whole experience in itself was great. the orbing was horrible and i never want to roll around in a giant ball ever again! The mountain boarding was good fun though too!

My boyfriend bought me a voucher for my birthday and we decided to use it before the winter sets in. I think they only open until the end of october. We arrived about half an hour early and were told it wasnt a problem and that we could go straight away. I thought that was quite nice even though i was petrified! We hired cameras to film it and were told they would be emailed to us afterwards. The staff were great, the venue was good and and all round great day out!

I definitely have to advise against booking anything at this place and paying money in advance, especially if you're not a resident of the area: My harness ride was cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions (consider wind, too!!!) and as I was in the area on holiday for a short time only, so I couldn't do it at all. I asked for at least a partial refund of my 50 quid, which was rudely rejected. I was briefly told to sell my voucher on ebay... where nobody happens to be interested, of course. The customer service of Orb360 is extremely unhelpful, they will respond after about 2 or 3 weeks, and if you've got a complaint or inconvenient request they won't answer at all. I was really looking forward to the ride, but ended up paying a lot of money for NOTHING. If that's how they earn their money... fair enough.

I also had a terrible experience with Orb 360. The man I spoke to in the office, Paul Butler (also the 'MD'), was so rude that I ended up having to hang up the phone on him. I had already asked him to take a different tone with me and explained that his attitude came across as rude and completely unnecessary, but he excused it saying it was better to be 'direct', and proceeded to start shouting at me! I enjoyed the experience I had, but this left a really 'bad taste' in my mouth afterwards, which has taken the edge off the experience somewhat-a real shame! I had intended to try paragliding and water orbing after the zorbing experience, but will now be booking with Pod London Zorbing (in Surrey about 30 miles from this site instead - https://www.zorbing.co.uk/ ) rather than deal with this nasty piece of work in the Orb 360 office! Incidentally, I just spoke to someone at an experience day provider, who also says they have heard several horror stories about the lack of personal skills that Orb 360 office, including times where the staff failed to tell customers that they were cancelling their experience, and had shut the office and gone home only to leave customers who had travelled miles & miles without their experience. It's a shame, because the location is lovely. I rarely say anything like this, but I hope they go out of business and that someone who is serious about customer service and customer satisfaction can take over the Devil's Dyke site, because this guy (who happens to be the 'MD') doesn't deserve for his business to succeed. After he saw I had posted a review on my personal blog about the experoience (in which I had said I had a fantastic time zorbing, that the setting was beautiful, but that the customer service from the office manager was disgusting, he rang my babysitter and was rude to her, and then rang me on my work mobile to call me the C word... Charming eh?) BUYER BEWARE - BOOK ELSEWHERE! There are plenty of other Zorbing sites close to this one... London Pod (in Surrey-near Croydon) or there is another one between Ashhurst Wood and Forest Row (near East Grinstead) that I found... Either way, you dont need to line the pockets of this arrogant so-and-so to have the experience near here.

I booked an "ultimate package" for my daughters 16th birthday. This included a wet orb and dry orb She wanted to do one orb with her brother and one with her boyfriend. The offer also included 2 t-shirts. Prior to booking I rang to ensure that it would be ok for her to swap orb partners. I was assured that this was fine and there would be no problem with this. We deliberately arrived at Devils Dyke early as we were under the impression that we could spend the day watching orbing etc, whilst eating our picnic etc. We were very rudely told by the lady in the office to go away and come back in an hour. When we returned a hour later I was told that my daughter was not entitled to the t-shirts that were advertised as part of the offer. When I asked why this was, the lady in the office was extremely patronising and said it is because she is swoppig orb partners - she then said to me "don't you understand?" I thought her attitude was very rude. The owner of the company came and spoke to us and confirmed that my daughter would not be entitled to her t shirt as she was swopping orbing partners. I explained that we were not expecting 3 t-shirts. we were happy with 2! I also explained that no-one had told me, when I phoned, that if she swapped partners she would not get her t-shirt. The owner was adamant that she cannot have her t-shirt. This seems so petty to me. We were only expecting the service that we had paid for, nothing more. I found the staff in the office to be unnecessarily rude - at the end fo the day its only a t-shirt and my daughter wasn't desperate for one but we had paid a lot of money and were not demanding anything other than what we had paid for. I would not use this company again. They made me feel unwelcdome and were rude and did not give us what we were entitled to. The staff at the actually Orbing field were very nice and helpful. However, they are completely let down by the rude lady in the office and the owner who was also unhelpful and rude. I would nto recommend this company to anybody and would not use them again which is a great shame because it is a beautiful location and only 1 hour from my house.

Similar experience to Iluminati. DO NOT GO!!! We had a trip planned to Brighton specifically to take a friend Orbing for his birthday. We hired a car an planned a fantastic day. We checked the website to make sure we could still orb (as you are requested to do) and saw orbing was happening on this day. Upon arriving however, orbing was stopped due to wind conditions and the unavailability of a 'net technician'. This is understandable, and we were told we would be able to rebook. As it was a special trip however we were unable to rebook this season so requested a refund. Money back for not service rendered is surely fair enough? Particularly since I was made to believe that this would not be a problem. When calling the office on the Monday instead of dealing with the request, I was told to email. Already not good service. I was then informed that our refund would be minus 50% administration charge as in line with their T&Cs. This is outrageous. Not only is 50% exorbitant, but we weren't the ones that cancelled. They were! Bearing in mind that we had already hired a car and incurred other costs, only to be disapointed, anything other than a full refund is really unacceptable. That said, we offered a 10% administration fee, which although very high, we thought it would offer an olive branch resolution. There has been a complete lack of sympathy for our situation and the person who dealt with our request ware rude and unhelpful. She has been insistent on taking £50 from us for giving absolutely nothing in return (other than a curt tone to her emails).

We walked from the pub to the orbing place which was about 5 minutes away. We were greeted by some more guys that welcomed us. The view was amazing, you could see the sea and just green hills it was really cool. The orbing was mental, it feels really fast when youre in it and it lasts for ages! We enjoyed it so much and have recommended to to our mates. If you want a good laugh then this is for you. Nothing bad to say about the whole day!

I had a brilliant experience with my Orbing day in September last year. Yes it is tricky to find the place where they actually do it, especially if you don't know the area (i'm from Surrey), but the map they tell you to download from their website made sense and got us there fine. We got there a bit late due to traffic, but the people at the office were really helpful in sending us over to the field and reassuring us that despite being late it was ok. They day was fun, we did the water ride which was hilarious, and thankfully the weather was good, but afterwards we had the picnic we had taken up on the deckchairs and listened to the music they were playing. Everyone seemed really helpful and kind of got that we were all there to enjoy ourselves. Don't really think it's fair to have a go at them if they have to cancel due to the weather, I can really see why conditions have to be perfect. I'd recommend it, in fact I even bought my boyfriend a voucher for his birthday.

This was booked as part of my stag weekend, we were in Brighton enjoying the sunshine and other event that were planned. My best man discovered a missed call after our round of golf asking for him to call Orb360. When he called they explained that due to high winds the event was going to have to be cancelled, we would have to rebook. He explained that we couldnt/didnt want to rebook but would have a refund and do something else. The man on the phone didnt think this would be a problem but we would have to talk to the office staff monday-friday (it was a saturday) We contuinued our weekend and had a brilliant time. Come monday we rang and were told that we could not have a refund and would have to rebook as the site was waterlogged. We explained that we were in the area on the day and it was glorious sunshine and also that they had cancelled and suggested we could have our money back. We also explained that our goup had come together for a stag weekend and some of us had travelled from abroad to be there, its not like we could do this any weekend. Anyway to cut a long story short after many letters/emails and phone calls we managed to get 90% back. When we questioned what possible reason could there be for them keeping the 10% we were verbally attacked and told not to contact them again as the money they kept was only £5 per person! They added that if we did call again they would 'consider it harrassment' and pass on our details to their legal dept. As another review stated they have many depts but seem to be lacking a customer service team! Its a real shame as we were really up for it but the dealings we had just felt very amaterish and unprofessional. Unfortunately I can not comment on the event itself as we never did it.

We went to Orb the second week in October and had an absolute blast! There was a group of 6 of us in the end, 2 of us had been given their vouchers for a birthday present but when our friends heard we were going along decided to come too. We were lucky with the weather as it was really sunny, so we did the harness ride and the aqua one, where they stick you in with gallons of water! It feels like a giant washing machine! We also did the cameras in the other ball so we could record it and watch us screaming later!! All the crew on the field knew what they were doing and explained it all really well, especially to my friend who was terrified! A couple of them were quite hot too....! It was a bit tricky to find so thankfully we took the map from the website which was pretty straightforward and the parking was good. We had a few beers afterwards in the pub by the car park. Think we'll come back next summer as it would be fab when it's hot and sunny, we didn't do the mountain boarding or the bikes but they would be good to try next time. Roll on 2011!!
