About Glasgow Necropolis
Within the centre of Glasgow resides this fascinating 19th-century garden cemetery, with over 50,000 people remembered within the 37 acres of land here. There are guided walking tours available, showing the stunning architecture spread throughout and telling the fascinating stories of many of those buried here. The tours are run by well informed and enthusiastic tour guides but for those really wanting to get into the history of the area, but walk their own path, pocket guides are available to purchase (See website).
