About King Richard III Visitor Centre
In 1485 Richard III was killed at the Battle of Bosworth and almost 600 year later in 2012 he was found in a car park in Leicester. Now he resides within Leicester cathedral, but his legacy is spread throughout the city and nowhere can you learn more about his life and impact than at the Richard III Visitors centre. The Centre itself stands on the medieval friary where the King's remains were originally buried and it gives all visitors the oppurtunity to learn about the events that led to his burial and rediscovery as well as the controversies of his reign.
