Fly a Bird of Prey Over the Magnificent Bodiam Castle

On 10 November the Hawking Centre will be back at Bodiam Castle with an opportunity to learn all about their fascinating birds of prey before providing those on the course with the chance to experience the thrill of flying a bird themselves. This will be followed by a delicious 2-course lunch.

The display, introductory talk and first session starts at 11.00 am, followed by lunch at 1.00 pm. In the afternoon there are further opportunities to fly the birds again. Please note that the birds do not fly in wet weather.

Surrounded by a moat and beautiful Sussex countryside, Bodiam Castle is the perfect example of a 14th Century castle. The ruins offer a fascinating insight into what life was once like at the castle and impressive historical features include the original wooden portcullis on display in the gatehouse and the spiral staircases at the heart of the towers.

From the top of the towers and along the battlements, visitors can also enjoy stunning views of the surrounding Wealden countryside and sweeping landscape of the Rother Valley.

Tickets are £40 per person including entry to the castle, parking and lunch. Booking is essential. Call 01580 831325 or e-mail [email protected]

The event is suitable for adults and children over 8.
