It's a fun-filled February half term at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Manchester!

Families looking for an unforgettable day out this half term need look no further, as LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Manchester are gearing up for a fun filled week of excitement!

From Saturday 6th – Sunday 21st February the Manchester based attractions will have plenty going on for the young and the young at heart to enjoy, so it’s the perfect excuse to treat the kids and yourselves to some fun.

Visitors to SEA LIFE Manchester will be able to see Octopus Hideout, a brand new  exhibition for 2016, which will showcase a variety of octopuses and their cephalopod cousins. Spot the Giant Pacific Octopus, one of the smartest creatures from the ocean, see the tiny Atlantic Long Arm Octopus whose arms are longer than its body and don’t miss the incredible Nautilus, an octopus in a shell that has barely changed in 500 million years!

But that’s not all; throughout half term SEA LIFE Manchester will be hosting Ancient Oceans, a week-long event packed full of activities, workshops and talks designed to teach visitors about the fascinating history of the oceans. The charismatic Dr Dug will be on hand to oversee archaeological digs and visitors will get the opportunity to learn about the evolution of the mesmerising sea creatures, some of which have been around for over 400 million years, such as sharks, jellyfish and turtles, making them older than trees!

Just next door is LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre where budding builders can lose themselves in over two million LEGO® bricks! Defeat the skeletons on the Kingdom Quest laser ride, learn some exclusive tips and tricks from the Master Model Builders in their workshops and see if you’ve got what it takes to become the magician’s next apprentice on Merlin’s Apprentice ride.

What’s more, families can marvel at MINILAND, where all of Manchester’s top attractions have been recreated out of LEGO® and younger visitors can enjoy the DUPLO® Village, and climb upon the World’s biggest DUPLO® tractor, brand new for 2016!

There’s lots to look forward to this year, and visitors to the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre should be prepared for some seriously awesome film fun, with an all new 4D cinema presentation of The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure, arriving exclusively in LEGOLAND® cinemas in March. What’s more, there’s also a second brand new 4D movie arriving which features the new LEGO® NEXO Knights play theme plus LEGO® City Builder, a new interactive building experience launching this year.

Those visitors looking to continue the fun throughout the year can take advantage of the January sales where visitors can save up to 30% on a Merlin Annual Pass until midnight on 15th February. Usually priced at £169 for a Standard Individual Merlin Annual Pass, they are now available to buy for just £119 and allow entry to 32 attractions at destinations across the UK.
