Record-breaking Thriller Live announces new UK Tour

The hit West End show is set to tour the UK and Europe in 2018. Thriller Live recently sold its 2 millionth West End ticket making the show seen by over 4 million people in over 30 countries and played over 5,100 performances worldwide. The show is returning to the UK, in venues all across the country, including the Grand Theatre Blackpool.

After the phenomenal success of the musical, Paul Walden and Derek Nicol, producers of Thriller Live, comment on the show, ‘After more than nine years in the West End, Thriller Live continues to go from strength to strength. We have had a spectacular summer and year on year audience numbers are fantastic. Michael Jackson’s music has never been more popular, and just like Wicked and other successful shows, Thriller Live has many loyal fans who come back time after time for repeat visits. We aim to keep the show fresh and exciting for them for many years to come through subtle changes, additional special effects and new video content.’

Thriller Live is a show like no other, steering away from the traditional West End musical genre. With no script or story, the show celebrates the music of Michael Jackson. A culmination of his dancing and musical legacy, Thriller Live encapsulates the king of pop’s energy and stardom in one performance. Featuring specially crafted video footage, surreal effects and amazing choreography, by award winning director Gary Lloyd.

The show was originally created by Adrian Grant, a long-time associate of Michael Jackson, where audience members can expect to hear MJ classics, performed by an exceptional cast and band, including Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Billie Jean, Bad and more!

The Grand Theatre Blackpool will be hosting Thriller Live from November 13th to 18th in 2018. Showing at 7.30pm Monday to Thursday evenings, Fridays from 5pm and 8.30pm and finally, Saturday from 4pm and 8pm.
