Madame Tussauds London vividly brought to life the world of Sherlock Holmes yesterday  (14th July), revealing the sets and characters for two new theatrical detective experiences - The Sherlock Holmes Experience and The Game's Afoot. They are the first in the attraction's history not to feature wax figures, but instead a cast of 20 actors will play familiar characters from the stories, as well as some totally new, with Inspector Lestrade re-invented as a female detective.

The avian A-listers crash landed in the capital to star in the world famous attraction's very first digital experience, opening on Saturday May 7, ahead of the much anticipated movie release on Friday May 13.

It is a period of great excitement. After the announced of the major new Star Wars experience at Madame Tussauds London, a group of talented sculptors and set designers have continued to work on this project of galactic importance. The multi-million pound expansion, which is due to open on Saturday May 16th 2015, is being created in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm and work is well underway bringing to life 16 of the film’ favourite heroes and villains, including Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.

At Madame Tussauds in London this May, a new multi-million pound experience opens with a major new interactive Star Wars attraction. The unique, immersive experience that was, created in close collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, will bring to life some of the film’s most powerful moments, that will feature extraordinarily life-like wax figures in authentic walk-in sets. As the fans encounter 16 characters in 11 separate sets, they’ll be able to star alongside their favourite heroes and villains of Star Wars Episodes I-VI, with dynamic special effects and dramatic theming, to add to the immersion of this new experience.

Hot on the heels of his BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in the critically acclaimed movie, American Hustle, comes news that British A-lister, Christian Bale, will be honoured with a Madame Tussauds wax figure to be unveiled at the world famous London attraction in February. 

To mark the fourth anniversary of his death, Madame Tussauds London is paying tribute to the genius of Michael Jackson with a special NEW attraction. Fans can get up close to their hero as three amazingly life-like figures capture the King of Pop at key moments in his career. In the line up is Michael in his Jackson 5 years, a more mature Jackson in his Dangerous era, and at the very end of his career in his "This Is It" incarnation.
